Explore our frequently asked questions to find the answers you need about our manufacturing capabilities.
What production volumes can Windings accommodate?
We are highly flexible. We can handle everything from a single custom prototype to pilot runs of 1–500 units at our Minnesota facility, all the way up to high-volume production of 50,000+ pieces per year through our nearshore strategic partners.
Does Windings manufacture electric motors for Clean Room environments?
Yes. We operate a dedicated, highly controlled Clean Space manufacturing area designed to eliminate foreign object debris (FOD) for sensitive aerospace, defense, and outer space applications.
What size stator and rotor assemblies can you manufacture?
We have the capabilities to wind custom stator coils, insert winding assemblies into housings, and build custom stator assemblies ranging from 0.5 inches up to 30 inches in diameter, weighing up to 2,000 pounds.
How do you ensure quality control during high-volume production transfers?
Our entire supply chain, including our high-volume strategic alliance partners, strictly adheres to AS9100 Rev D policies, ITAR regulations, and client-specific requirements to ensure uncompromising reliability from prototype to full-scale production.
