Tachometers
Our Tachometers are designed around the same Moving Coil Technology used in our Moving Coil Motors. These Tachometers feature compact size, low inertia, high torsional rigidity, low voltage ripple, and excellent linearity. Tachometers are offered as a modular (self-contained with bearings and shaft), or integrally mounted to the Moving Coil Motor. Long life, exceeding 10,000 hrs at 3000 rpm, is obtained, even in systems with high frequency shaft reversals. View the product specifications for more details on the Tachometers. A repair service is also offered for these tachometers. Every tachometer has rotating components that eventually wear and need replacement. Depending on the application, bearings rarely last over 20,000 hours. Extreme environmental conditions, high stress coupling, and other forms of abuse are the common cause for periodic repair or refurbishment. Windings acknowledges that "time is of the essence", and has structured it's repair department for quick turn-around. The process includes a complete evaluation and cost estimate before repair, unless it is pre-approved.
