Repair Guide
Windings Inc. is a qualified repair facility for all moving coil motor / tachometer products, previously manufactured by Electro-Craft, and Inertial motors previously manufactured by Elinco. The service is intended to be of particular value when the cost to repair or refurbish is less than the cost of new, and/or quicker than the time to build a single new motor(s). Turn-around time should be no longer than two weeks, not including transportation, customer approvals or special non-stocked repair parts.
Refurbish/Repair Costs
Refurbished units reuse all the same components (except for new bearings and brushes). Repairs require the replacement of additional components (typically armatures or encoders). The cost to repair a motor or tachometer is usually greater than the cost to refurbish because the labor and parts are more extensive. The cost is determined on an individual basis and the customer is advised so the decision can be weighed against the time, warranty and cost of a new product.
