Directions to New Ulm

New Ulm is a scenic two hour drive from the Minneapolis airport. Upon leaving the airport, select Interstate 494 West. Travel along Interstate 494 West for approximately 9 or 10 miles. Take the Highway 169 South Exit. Travel on Highway 169 South for approximately 50 miles to the city of St. Peter. As you are leaving St. Peter on Hwy 169, take the Highway 99 West exit (on the right side; drive up the hill). See below for bad weather conditions.

Good Weather

Travel on Highway 99 West for approximately 12 miles to the city of Nicollet. As you are leaving Nicollet, Highway 99 will end by the stop sign. There, take a right turn and travel West on Highway 14. Travel on Highway 14 West to New Ulm. After approximately 12 miles, you will approach a lighted intersection with County Road 37. (You will see New Ulm off in the distance on your left.) or,

Bad Weather (snow and ice) Alternate Route:

This alternate route will add about 15 minutes to your trip. If the weather is bad, don't take the Hwy 99 West exit in St. Peter. Instead, continue on Highway 169 towards Mankato. As you approach Mankato, take the Highway 14 West exit. Travel on Highway 14 West to New Ulm.
Take a left turn on County Road 37, and drive into New Ulm. Continue on the Windings Inc Plant or the New Ulm Holiday Inn.

Directions to the Windings Inc. Plant

Travel on County Road 37 about one-half mile until you cross the river bridge. As soon as you cross the bridge, take a right turn on Valley Street. Travel about two miles until you see our Windings Inc. building on the right side. Our address is 208 North Valley St.

Directions to the New Ulm Holiday Inn

Travel on County Road 37 about one mile until it ends by the stop light. By this stop sign, take a left turn on Broadway. About a block down, you will see the Holiday Inn on your left. Holiday Inn Phone Number: 507-359-2941.

Directions to the Windings Inc. Plant from the New Ulm Holiday Inn

From the Holiday Inn, drive northwest on Broadway through town. At the fourth set of stop lights (by 3rd North Street), take a right turn. Travel on 3rd North Street down the hill, and over the railroad tracks. Just beyond the railroad tracks, take a right turn on Valley Street. You will then see our plant on your left.
