The business cycles of some customers are cyclical and over the years Windings has come to understand these cycles and learned how to react to them. One customer asked Windings to slow down production just prior to a normal busy time in their business cycle, which was counterintuitive to the previous business cycles. But, instead of shutting down production, Windings decided to go with history and their knowledge of the business cycle, and continued to build parts at a reduced rate. Before too long, the client called and requested expedited parts as there was an uptick in their production. Windings was able to react quickly and keep production flowing to them without any hiccups.
